What is the power of Social Networks?
I mean really what is the attraction of sitting at your computer hour after hour, day after day, chatting, submitting, adding people you have never met to a list which exists only in cyberspace.
Could it be the fact it is fun, maybe its anonymity we have sitting here or how about the connections we make over time with some really great People?

To me its all of the above.
I have made some great friends online, from all over the world, plenty of cultures, faiths and environmental structures.  Sitting down here in my little corner of the globe, I would never have had the chance to make these friends, without the World Wide Web.  The term WEB is truly apt for the internet in todays world don’t you think. It is an integral part of almost every one of our lives whether directly or indirectly. Scary when you think of the impact NO Internet would have on us, worst still computers in general.

Digg!
One place I spend a lot of time is Digg.com. I digg through my shouts and find great information on almost every topic imaginable and at times ones I really don’t wish to imagine. lol. However I digg the majority of these shouts, friends or not, check through the recent submits and comment where I find appropriate, very rarely do I bury anything, unless it is completely inappropriate (you know what I mean)

Over the past few days, I have culled down my friends lists on Diggs.com. I did this for a few reasons.

The first being The DIGG CULL/BAN. The past few months Digg has been going through banning hundreds of users for various reasons, but this has lead me to many friends no longer being current.

The second is non diggers, these are people who are on friend lists simply to gather diggs for their own submits. It is really poor form to expect others to digg your submits when you arent available to do the same.

IT SUCKS AND IS PLAIN RUDE!

Get real what goes around comes around. If you are a serious digger and actually want a mutually rewarding Digg account, then part of this is digging and Commenting on those submits which you find interesting, funny or whatever. You don’t need to digg everything.

Join me on Digg.com here Aussie Cynic

Stumbles is great fun, constantly updating, easy to use, and very social. I use the toolbar for everything to do with Stumbles and find recieving a shout in my toolbar quick and fun, thumb it and comment and then digg through and do the same. Messages in my inbox flow in a fairly constant stream which I attend to daily. So all round a great tool for bloggers and folks just wanting company.

Stumbleupon you can find me here Aussiecynic

Kesa Marin's Facebook profileFacebook this is interesting. I am still learning all the aspects of this social web, but the more I see, the more interesting I am finding it. Sharing photos, comments, messages, events and links, it is great place just to be yourself and have fun as well as a great resource on every level.

Twitter would have to be the most amazing success story. Members growing constantly, the conversations always interesting. The applications it offers make the whole process extremly simple which suits me just fine. You can choose to follow anyone you like and likewise them you. Direct message or join in a converstation, update what you are doing and keeping it all nice and short stops all those longwinded, posts which can so annoy.

Here I am Aussiecynic at Twitter

Something I want to do is invite everyone who pops into Aussie on a regular or casual basis, even if you are a first timer to join me at one or all of my social network sites.
Something I have found on all of these Social network sites is the quality of the majority of members.
The impact it can have on bloggs and traffic Not to mention great connections we can make.
So why not jump in, add, stumble, tweet, and Facebook link up with an Aussie today… lol….
